NEW YORK, NY - You're coffee fix could soon cost you more dough. The price of coffee is hovering at nearly three dollars a pound, the highest price in more than three decades.
Now coffee houses are considering either jacking up the price, or cutting services.
There are several reasons for the price increase-- bad weather in the world's top coffee growing regions, a weak dollar and pressure from emerging coffee drinking markets.
The issue of rising coffee prices is expected to take center stage Thursday when many of the nation's coffee retailers and distributors gather in Houston, Texas.
