MUMBAI (MarketWatch) -- Indian stocks fell on Monday, with banks under pressure ahead of the Reserve Bank of India's monetary policy announcement on Tuesday. The Sensex XX:SENSEX -0.54% was down 79.95 points, or 0.4%, to 19,057.39, weighed by the likes of ICICI Ltd. IN:532174 -1.32% , HDFC Bank Ltd. IN:500180 -0.76% and State Bank of India IN:500112 -3.39% . The S&P/CNX Nifty XX:NIFTY -0.84% lost 0.5% to 5,720.80.
