MW: Oil falls as concerns over lower demand weigh

By Myra P. Saefong

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Crude-oil futures fell Thursday morning, after the International Energy Agency cut its 2011 forecast for growth in global oil-product demand and warned that high oil prices are resulting in lower demand. June crude CLM11 -1.69% was down $1.64 at $96.57 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. June natural gas NGM11 -0.69% was down 3 cents at $4.15 per million British thermal units ahead of a U.S. report on supplies in storage, due out at 10:30 a.m. Eastern. Analysts surveyed by Platts expect data to show a rise of between 67 billion and 71 billion cubic feet for the week ending May 6.
