MW: Crude oil wavers between small gains and losses

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Crude-oil futures inched lower Friday, capping a roller-coaster week that saw price rebounds earlier but steep declines later on. Crude for June delivery CLM11 +0.10% declined 21 cents, or 0.2%, to $98.78 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. It had edged higher moments earlier. Gold for June delivery GCM11 -0.07% also retreated, down $2.70 to 41,504.30 an ounce.
