BLBG: Gold Rises for Third Day as Europe Debt Concern Fuels Demand; Silver Gains
 
The Swiss franc appreciated against all 16 of its most-traded peers, and the euro pared advances versus the dollar and the yen.

The franc strengthened 0.4 percent against the euro to 1.2552 and appreciated 0.5 percent to 88.84 centimes per U.S. dollar as of 9:25 a.m. in London.

The euro was 0.1 percent stronger against the greenback at $1.4133 after rising as much as 0.2 percent. It rose 0.2 percent to 114.31 yen.
