PAIV:Atlantic Gold targets gold in new exploration in Nova Scotia
Atlantic Gold (ASX: ATV) has commenced a reconnaissance reverse circulation drilling campaign on the company’s exploration projects in Nova Scotia, Canada, with a proposed share purchase plan to help fund the exploration.
Drilling will test 19 target areas in the Nova Scotia Goldfields that have similar characteristics to the company’s Touquoy Project.
Sixty holes, averaging around 10 metres deep, have been drilled to date around historic workings and across prospective geology at the Whiteburn and West Caledonia projects, with assays pending within five weeks.
The purpose of this drilling is to recover several metres of bedrock beneath the overburden of glacial till, so far averaging about five meters depth, for inspection and assay as a vector to major gold deposition.
Atlantic will offer exisiting shareholders an additional $15,000 investment in the company from a share purchase plan.
The company has an existing 1,340 square kilometres exploration footprint.
