FX : Gold rises for third day and reaches 2-week highs
FXstreet.com (Córdoba) - Gold has advanced on Tuesday for third consecutive day and reached the highest level since May 11 at $1523.19 benefited by its safe condition and amid a weaker US dollar.
The yellow metal bounced off yesterday's low around $1503 an ounce, rising near $20 or 1.33% to set a 2-week high at $1523/oz before settling slightly lower. At time of writing, bullion is at $1522 an ounce.
As for silver, the gray metal has climbed to a high of $36.00 an ounce, its strongest since May 13.
