MW: Indian stocks rise, Reliance Communications leads

MUMBAI (MarketWatch) -- Indian stocks rose on Tuesday, tracking a rising trend in Asian markets and with shares of Reliance Communications Ltd. gaining after the cash-strapped firm said it had received offers for a stake in its towers unit Reliance Infratel. The Sensex XX:SENSEX +0.27% rose 67.23 points, or 0.4%, to 18,570.51, with shares of Reliance Communications rising the most, up 2%. The S&P/CNX Nifty XX:NIFTY +0.10% rose 0.2% to 5,570.35.
