Mumbai, Jun 6 (PTI) Silver prices rallied further at the domestic bullion market today on hectic speculative and investment buying as well as good industrial offtake on the back of rising global trend.
Gold also moved up on better stockists and local buying interest.
In overseas market, the precious metals rose on weak dollar after dismal US employment data amid concerns over economic growth.
Silver ready (.999 fineness) surged by Rs 750 per kg to end at Rs 55,595 from last Saturday''s closing level of Rs 54,845 per kg.
Standard gold (99.5 purity) gained by Rs 30 per 10 grams to finish at Rs 22,505 from last weekend''s closing level of Rs 22,475.
Pure gold (99.9 purity) also went up by Rs 25 per 10 grams to close at Rs 22,605 as compared to Rs 22,580 previously.
In Europe, spot gold was bid up at USD 1,543.40 an ounce in early trade. Spot silver bid at USD 36.66 an ounce. PTI PAK DK
