A four-year-old son of Zabeel, Resetable was presented at the sale by the Williams family's Hudson Conway Racing outfit having won two of his four lifetime starts.
After a few minutes of frantic bidding from around the sale ring it was leading Victorian trainer Eric Musgrove who secured the exciting galloper with a bid of $160,000.
"He's a lightly raced and highly promising young galloper who has already won in Melbourne from just four starts," Musgrove reported.
"He has a lovely pedigree and he's a nice horse to go on with."
Musgrove also purchased the second highest lot, the fellow Hudson Conway Racing draftee Weighted .
A stakes placed winner of two races, Weighted is by champion sire Encosta de Lago and from the Group One winning mare Cannsea.
Musgrove was delighted to have secured Weighted for $125,000.
"He's in a similar mould to Resetable," Musgrove pointed out. "He is lightly raced and is already a black type galloper."
"He looks to have a really nice future and he's a promising stayer of the future."
Over $1.1 million was traded today on 85 lots as records were broken across all levels.
The gross was up 300 percent on last year and the average price of $13,703 was also up 45 per cent on the corresponding sale 12 months ago.
The clearance rate of 90 per cent was also up from 85 per cent last year.
"It was a really solid day's selling," Magic Millions Managing Director Vin Cox said.
"There was a good crowd of buyers on hand from around Australia and it was good to see great competition on some quality racing prospects."
"The National Racehorse Sale is one of the fastest growing in the Southern Hemisphere and we are sure graduates from this sale will help see this growth continue into the future."
