FT:Cambridge Foundation’s MRI Drive Receives Million Dollar Financial Support

Aiming to raise $4 million to encapsulate the magnet resonance imaging (MRI) machine into the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation, a charitable local organization, Lyle S. Hallman Foundation, donated record $1-million on Wednesday afternoon, as part of MRI fundraising campaign.

Confirming the news, Stan Nahrgang, Chair of the Lyle S. Hallman’s director’s advisory committee, claimed, “This tells the rest of the community that there’s somebody who really believes in the hospital” and further, urged people to make possible contribution for the noble cause.

Even Jim Hallman, son of the now-deceased philanthropist, agreed with the drive launched by the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation, as installation of MRI machines would help achieving the waiting time target, set by provincial government, of 28 days , which as if now stands between 44 to 98 days.

Though provincial government would be annually inducing $800,000 for supporting MRI drive, rest of the MRI cost of $2.25 million in addition to estimated renovated cost of $1.75 million would be managed by the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation itself.

Till now, MRI campaign has received humungous response from the community with average donation ranging from $25 to $50, the acting Executive Director of the hospital foundation, Cindy Carson, acknowledged the unparalleled support of the volunteers, who have started donating $500 now for the campaign, affirming the urgency of MRI machine.
