MW:Crude oil recoups loss, returns to Friday's level

LOS ANGELES (MarketWatch) -- Benchmark Nymex crude-oil futures recaptured their Friday close of $99.29 a barrel in electronic trade Monday morning in Asia, after slipping below $98.90 earlier in the day. Light, sweet crude oil for July delivery CL1N -0.51% traded at $99.27, just 2 cents shy of the New York close. The contract had fallen below the $100 mark Friday on signs Saudi Arabia may be hiking its crude production.
