A panel of ministers will meet shortly to discuss a possible hike in diesel, cooking gas and kerosene prices, Oil Minister S Jaipal Reddy told reporters on Monday. "The oil companies have already lost Rs 45,000 in this financial year and they are losing Rs 450 crores everyday (on sale of subsidied fuel)," Reddy said, adding he is pressing hard for a meeting of the panel at the earliest.
