The rupee should be little changed on Wednesday, with a negative bias on lower Asian peers and equities.
The rupee is expected to open around 44.72-44.73 per dollar and move in 44.65-44.80 band, traders said. It had ended 0.3% stronger on Tuesday at 44.73/74.
At 0259 GMT, the MSCI index of Asian stocks ex-Japan was down 0.3% and the Nifty India stock futures traded in Singapore were 0.18% lower, indicating a likely weak opening to local shares.
The euro was at USD 1.4416, against USD 1.4429 at end of local forex trade on Tuesday and the index of the dollar against six major currencies was at 74.528 points from 74.430.
