PAIV:Kidman Resources hits near surface high grade copper at Blind Calf
Kidman Resources (ASX: KDR) has received assay results from the first two holes of the current 18 hole Phase three drilling program at Blind Calf in central New South Wales, confirming and extending earlier discoveries of copper.
The drilling is aiming to better understand the orientation and depth of copper mineralisation at the three copper lodes identified so far. The two completed holes targeted the Dunbar’s Lode from the east and both intersected a number of copper sulphide intersections.
The results include:
- 12 metres at 2.29% copper (Cu) from 29 metres, including 8 metres at 3.21% Cu from 32 metres; and
- 8 metres at 2.21% Cu from 55m, including 4 metres at 3.91% Cu from 57 metres.
Earlier results included 27 metres at 1.52% copper (Cu), including 18 metres at 2.09% Cu.
Blind Calf is situated about 5 kilometres west of the Mineral Hill Mine, near Condobolin, and forms part of the company's nine wholly owned tenements in New South Wales and the Northern Territory covering an extensive footprint of 790 square kilometres, with the potential for copper, gold and rare earth elements.
All 18 holes and the one extension have been completed, and chip samples for the remaining 16 holes are at the assay lab. The company expects results with in the next few weeks.
