Silver prices rebounded at the domestic bullion market here in Mumbai on Tuesday on fresh buying by stockists and speculators on the back of firming global cues.
Gold also continued to gain owing to good jewellery and local buying support.
Silver ready (.999 fineness) jumped by Rs 655 per kg to close at Rs 54,670 from Monday's closing of Rs 54,015.
Standard gold (99.5 purity)went up by Rs 25 per 10 grams to finish at Rs 22,510 as compared to Rs 22,485 yesterday.
Pure gold (99.9 purity) went up by a similar margin to finish at Rs 22,610 per 10 gram from Rs 22,585 previously.
In Europe, precious metals rose on lower dollar as well as rising fear of Greek debt crisis spreading over to other Eurozone countries and the investors looking safety in the metals.
