BA:Bulgaria's natural gas price will increase by 4% as of July 1
Natural gas price will increase by 4% as of July 1, Angel Semerdzhiev, head of the state energy and water regulatory commission informed, quoted by dnes.bg. In mid-June, Bulgaria's natural gas supplier Bulgargaz asked the state energy commission to allow an increase in the price of natural gas by 6.91% to BGN 568.92 (EUR 290.9) per 1,000 cubic metres VAT excluded.
Semerdzhiev however commented that the price hike needs to be lower. He added that the measure will probably translate into a more expensive heating too and estimates the impact at some 2-3%. The energy commission allowed an increase in the price of the natural gas by 4.47% to BGN 532.14 per 1,000 cubic metres VAT excluded as of April 1 while Bulgargaz has asked a 6.61% price hike.
