MW: Gold futures gain, poised to extend winning streak
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Gold futures climbed past $1,550 an ounce Wednesday, poised to extend their winning streak to a seventh-straight session. August gold GC1Q +0.52% tacked on $7.60 to $1,554 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange. "Investors feared that Greece might find it difficult to implement the austerity drive despite winning the confidence vote," analysts at ICICI Bank said in a research note. July silver SI1N +0.51% rose 18 cents to $36.56 an ounce.
