(RTTNews) - The euro extended its previous session's decline against other major currencies in early New York trading on Thursday.
The euro reached a fresh record low of 1.1878 against the Swiss franc around 8:50 am ET. The euro-franc pair held steady thereafter and is currently trading above the 1.19 level.
Against the greenback, the common currency slipped to a 6-day low of 1.4155 around this time. The euro-buck pair is presently worth 1.4168 and a move below its June 16th low of 1.4075 could set its lowest mark 4-weeks.
