The average price for a gallon of unleaded gasoline in Houston heading into the weekend is $3.49, a 5-cent decrease from last week according to the AAA Texas Weekend Gas Watch.
Unleaded gas in Galveston is now $3.51, also down 5 cents — but still 91 cents higher than this time last year.
The average gas price in Texas is also down a nickel at $3.52, while the national average dropped 7 cents to $3.61.
The least expensive fill-up in Texas is in Beaumont, where the average price is $3.46. Corpus Christi is reporting the most expensive gas in the state at $3.55.
