ET:Rupee flat; choppy euro negates local shrs, Asian peers
MUMBAI: The rupee was nearly flat in afternoon trades on Tuesday as a choppy euro offset comfort from strong Asian currencies and positive local equities.
* At 2:24 p.m., the partially convertible rupee was at 45.0400/0425 per dollar, little changed from Monday's close of 45.03/04, but down from 44.96 touched in early trades.
* The euro was at $1.4273 after moving in $1.4327-$1.4255 range so far in the day. It had been $1.4209 at the end of local forex trade on Monday.
* The index of the dollar against six major currencies was down 0.01 percent at 75.384 points. It had been 75.544 points when domestic currency trade shut on Monday.

* The benchmark share index was up over 0.4 percent, but had turned briefly negative after a positive opening.
