LONDON, July 7 (Reuters) - U.S. crude oil futures CLc1 rose by $1 to $97.65 a barrel on Thursday, boosted by a higher-than-expected drop in U.S. crude stocks and rising risk appetite following bullish oil forecasts from banks.
Key investment banks Goldman Sachs , Morgan Stanley and Barclays Capital have all published upbeat forecasts on the outlook for oil fundamentals this week, with some warning of shrinking spare capacity.
U.S. oil prices were up 92 cents at $97.57 a barrel by 0917 GMT. Brent crude oil prices LCOc1 were up $1.05 at $114.67 by the same time. (Reporting by Emma Farge; editing by James Jukwey)
