RTRS:Dollar rises to five-week high vs yen ahead of jobs data
(Reuters) - The dollar hit a five-week high against the yen on Friday, as investors positioned themselves for a strong U.S. jobs number which could boost U.S. Treasury yields.
The dollar rose to 81.449 yen on trading platform EBS, its highest level since early June, and up 0.25 percent on the day. Traders cited offers from exporters above 81.50 yen and highlighted a large option expiry at 81.30 yen.
