RTTN:Indian Rupee Falls To 8-day Low Against U.S. Dollar
(RTTNews) - The Indian rupee slipped to an 8-day low of 44.6644 against the U.S. dollar in early deals on Tuesday. The rupee is presently quoted at 44.65 per dollar, compared to Monday's close of 44.5. The next downside target level for the Indian currency is seen at 45.00.
Indian market is trading lower on weak global cues after U.S. President Barack Obama and congressional leaders failed to agree on cutting the deficit and concerns increased that Italy could be dragged into the European debt crisis.
India's benchmark BSE Sensex is presently trading at 18,516.44, down 204.95 points or 1.09% and the National Stock Exchange's S&P CNX Nifty is down 52.30 points, or 0.93%, at 5,563.80.
