BJ:Gas prices rise for 2nd week in a row

Gasoline prices in Massachusetts are up for the second straight week, according to AAA Southern New England . Last week marked the first increase in gas prices in the state in more than two months. In early May, gas prices had been steadily dropping since early May, when the average price per gallon hit a high of $3.94, per AAA Southern New England.
AAA’s July 18 report found that the average price of one gallon of gas in the state is $3.719, up a nickel over last week.
The current price in the state is four cents above that national average of $3.67 per gallon.
One year ago at this time gas prices in the state averaged $2.67, one dollar and four cents lower than today’s average.
And bargain hunters take note: the range in gas prices this week is 34 cents — from a low of $3.62 to a high of $3.96, per AAA.
