AZ: Gas export by South Caucasus pipeline drops
 
The South Caucasus pipeline exported 2.4bn cubic meters of natural gas in January-June.
It is a drop by 300m cubic meters over the same period of the last year, according to sources in the State Statistical Committee.

The South Caucasus pipeline exported 336.5m cubic meters in January, 423.9m cubic meters in February, 539.6m cubic meters in March, 500m cubic meters in April, 300m cubic meters in May and 300m cubic meters in June.

In 2010, the South Caucasus pipeline exported 4.9bn cubic meters of natural gas, which is a drop by 300m cubic meters over 2009.

The South Caucasus pipeline exports natural gas, produced from Shah Deniz offshore gas condensate field. Gas is supplied to Georgia and Turkey.

Participants in the Shah Deniz production sharing agreement are BP (operator – 25.5%), Statoil (25.5%), SOCAR (10%), LUKOIL (10%), NICO (10%), Total (10%) and TPAO (9%).
