MW: Oil reverts to losses, trades under $98 a barrel

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Crude-oil futures turned lower Wednesday, retreating to under $98 a barrel after spending most of the trading day in the black. Crude for August delivery CL1Q -0.16% , which expires after the settlement, was recently off 28 cents, or 0.3%, to $97.22 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Other energy products followed suit, with August gasoline RB1Q -0.14% down less than a penny to $3.11 a gallon.
