The Indian rupee opened at 44.43 per dollar versus 44.45 yesterday.
Ssharad D Pawaar, SPFX India said that, "The rupee could see marginal gains on account of the dollar's weakness globally. However, the uncertainty in the global equity markets may cap the gains. The range for the day is seen between 44.40-44.50/$."
