RTRS: Euro extends losses vs dollar, hits session low
(Reuters) - The euro extended losses against the U.S. dollar on Friday as global uncertainty prompted investors to seek safety.
The euro EUR= fell to a session low of $1.4323. according to Reuters data. It was last at $1.4336, down 0.6 percent on the day.
"We are in a general risk-off environment right now and that is diving the euro lower," said Greg Anderson, G10 strategist at CitiFX, a division of Citigroup, in New York. (Reporting by Julie Haviv; Editing by James Dalgleish)
