RTRS: Chile peso hits 3-year high on copper, weak dollar
(Reuters) - Chile's peso CLP=CL firmed to a three-year intraday high on Tuesday as prices for the country's main export of copper rose and the dollar sagged abroad, making traders wonder what fresh measures authorities could take to try to tame the peso's strength.
The peso broke through key resistance at 460 per U.S. dollar to bid 459.00, the highest intraday level since April 2008. (Reporting by Alexandra Ulmer; Writing by Alexis Krell. Editing by Simon Gardner and James Dalgleish)
