WASHINGTON - The Energy Department on Wednesday will release the latest information on gas supplies and prices.
The national average is $3.703 per gallon, according to AAA, Wright Express and Oil Price Information Service.
A gallon of regular is 16.2 cents more expensive than it was at the beginning of June and it's nearly a dollar higher than this time last year.
Oil prices have dropped almost $4.00 a barrel in the last few days, so gas prices should follow. Experts say they're at least $10 a barrel higher than they should be.
Americans have been using less gasoline for 19 weeks in a row and there's plenty of oil on the world markets.
