MC:Rupee snaps 8-session losing streak vs $, up 17 paise
The Indian rupee rose by 17 paise to Rs 45.24 against the US dollar in early trade today on fresh selling of the American currency by banks and exporters amid dollar weakness overseas.
The rupee resumed higher at Rs 45.25/26 per dollar on the Interbank Foreign Exchange, as against its last close of Rs 45.41/42 per dollar, and hovered in a range between Rs 45.24 per dollar and Rs 45.38 per dollar before quoting at Rs 45.33/34 per dollar at 1030 hours.
