FR:Forex: Dollar Down Versus Major Rivals Ahead of Data
The US dollar dropped versus most major currencies on Friday, ahead of US economic data.
The dollar index, which measures the performance of the greenback against a basket of other major currencies, fell 0.18% to trade at 74.45, down from 74.618 in late North American trade on Thursday.
The euro gained 0.2% versus the greenback to trade at $1.4237. The dollar dropped 0.35% versus the Japanese yen to trade at ¥76.57, down from ¥76.79 in late New York trading on Thursday.
