WSJ:OIL FUTURES:Crude Up As US Oil Stock Data Lifts Products Prices
LONDON (Dow Jones)--Crude oil futures rose around 1% early in the London session Wednesday as a bigger-than-expected draw in U.S. products inventories reported late Tuesday gave some support to prices in the Singapore trading window, traders said.
At 0829 GMT, the front-month September contract on the New York Mercantile Exchange was trading up 74 cents, or 0.8%, at $87.39 a barrel. The front-month October Brent contract on London's ICE futures exchange was up 81 cents, or 0.8%, at $109.94 a barrel.
Thin volumes in oil markets, as participants take a breather after the past two weeks roller coaster ride, are also exaggerating price moves.
