SD:Dollar falls in upper 76 yen range amid global economy
TOKYO,Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar stayed in the upper 76 yen range in Tokyo on Wednesday, dragged down by worries over the outlook for the global economy.
At 5 p.m., the dollar was quoted at 76.59-61 yen versus 76.77- 87 yen in New York and 76.87-88 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
The U.S. currency moved between 76.56 yen and 76.81 yen, changing hands most frequently at 76.70 yen.
The euro fetched 1.4389-4391 dollar and 110.21-25 yen against 1.4402-4412 dollar and 110.63-73 yen in New York and 1.4397-4398 dollar and 110.67-71 yen in Tokyo late Tuesday afternoon.
