RTTN:Indian Rupee Hits Near 6-month Low Against U.S. Dollar
(RTTNews) - The Indian rupee fell against the U.S. dollar in early deals on Thursday. As of now, the rupee is trading near a 6-month low of 45.60 per dollar and if the rupee slides further, it may target 52.56 level. At Wednesday's close, the dollar-rupee pair was worth 45.325.
The Indian market is trading lower, tracking mixed Asian cues as Japan's exports fell more than expected in July and two Federal Reserve officials reportedly opposed a pledge to keep U.S. interest rates at record lows.
India's benchmark BSE Sensex is presently trading at 16,783.40, down 57.40 points or 0.34% and the National Stock Exchange's S&P CNX Nifty is down 16.85 points, or 0.33%, at 5,039.75.
