LONDON (Dow Jones)--Crude futures were up Tuesday, tracking the euro's rise against the dollar as risk appetite returned to the market.
Brent briefly dipped into negative territory earlier as speculation that Libyan oil production could restart sooner than previously expected continued to weigh on the European benchmark more than the American crude.
At 0911 GMT, the front-month October Brent contract on London's ICE futures exchange was 10 cents, or 0.1%, higher at $108.46 a barrel.
The front-month October contract on the New York Mercantile Exchange was trading up 91 cents, or 1.1%, at $85.33 per barrel.
