RTTN: Swiss Franc Regains From Recent Losses Versus Majors
(RTTNews) - The Swiss franc bounced back from recent downward trading against major currencies during New York late morning deals on Monday.
After touching a 3-month low of 93.47 by about 10:15 am ET, the franc reversed its direction against the Japanese yen in late morning trading. As of now, the pair is worth 94.17.
At about 10:15 am ET, the franc dropped to 1.3540 against the British pound and 1.1975 versus the euro, the lowest value since July 8. Thereafter, the franc edged up and currently trading near 1.3414 against the sterling and 1.1867 versus the euro.
The Swiss currency also showed strength against the US dollar in today's late morning session from early 5-week low of 0.8243, today. At present,the pair is trading at 1.1867.
From the stock market , the Swiss stock market posted a substantial gain today, with the country's main equity index rising more than 2 percent. This followed a significant rebound during last week's trading, when the market climbed 4.5 percent over the five-day span.
