BLBG:Brent Crude Climbs 0.9% in London Trading; WTI Oil Rebounds in New York
Brent crude climbed as much $1.02, 0r 0.9 percent, to $110.10 a barrel on the London-based ICE Futures Europe exchange. The European benchmark contract was at a premium of $26.57 a barrel to West Texas Intermediate, compared with a record intraday spread of $26.97 on Sept. 2.
WTI for October delivery was at $84.27 a barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange at 3:25 p.m. in Singapore, after falling as low as $83.20. Floor trading was shut yesterday for the Labor Day holiday and electronic trades will be booked with today’s transactions for settlement purposes.
