New Delhi, Sept 6 (PTI) Crude palm oil prices fell further by Rs 4.30 to Rs 481.50 per 10 kg in futures trade today on sustained selling by traders.
Trading sentiment remained bearish as palm oil futures in Malaysia fell on slowing demand for the commodity among biofuel producers.
Crude palm oil for the October month contract fell by Rs 4.30, or 0.91 per cent to Rs 481.50 per 10 kg with a business turnover of 49 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in November month eased by Rs 4.30, or 0.89 per cent to Rs 480.50 per 10 kg with trading a volume of 20 lots, while the current month contract traded at Rs 3.60, 0.78 per cent lower to Rs 483 per 10 kg with a business volume of 32 lots.
In Malaysia, palm oil dropped 1.3 per cent to USD 998 per metric tonne.
Traders said sustained selling by speculators amid weakening global trend mainly led to a fall in crude palm oil prices in the future trade.
