NI:Rupee opens at 46.23 against US dollar, 1 year low
The rupee opened at 46.23 against the US dollar, declining by six paise to a one-year-low, today following rising demand for dollars by importers, dealers at the Interbank Foreign Exchange said.
The domestic unit recorded an intra-day high and low of 46.24 and 46.10 per dollar, respectively, with major fluctuation.
The rupee continued to ease because of the dollar's gain against major currencies, dealers said.
