MSN:Edible oils extend gains on increased buying, global cues
 
New Delhi, Sept 9 (PTI) Edible oil prices extended gains for the third straight day and added up to Rs 220 per quintal in the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on increased buying by vanaspati millers and retailers to meet the seasonal demand.
Restricted arrivals from the producing region and a firm global trend also supported the market sentiment.
Neem oil in the non-edible section also moved up on increased industrial offtake.
Trading sentiment remained firm as palm oil continued to rise in global markets. The oil advanced by 1.2 per cent to USD 1,017 a tonne on the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery oil (Gujarat) rose by Rs 200 to Rs 8,900 per quintal, while groundnut solvent refined gained Rs 50 to Rs 1,600-1,610 per tin.
Mustard expeller oil jumped up by Rs 220 to Rs 6,100 per quintal and mustard pakki and kachi ghani oils traded higher by Rs 30 each to Rs 800-955 and Rs 955-1055 per tin, respectively.
Sesame and cottonseed mill delivery (Haryana) oils moved up by Rs 200 each to Rs 6,400 and Rs 5,750 per quintal, respectively.
Likewise, soyabean refined mill delivery (Indore) and soyabean degum (Kandla) oils remained in demand and advanced by Rs 220 each to Rs 6,600 and and Rs 6,150, respectively.
Crude palm oil (ex-kandla) shot up by Rs 200 to Rs 5,420 per quintal.
Palmolein (rbd) and palmolein (Kandla) oils followed suit and surged by Rs 220 each to Rs 6,100 and Rs 5,800 per quintal, respectively.
In the non-edible section, neem oil rose by Rs 50 to Rs 4,050-4,150 per quintal. .
