BLBG:Oil Trades Near a Three-Week Low in New York; Brent Crude Climbs in London
Oil swung between gains and losses in New York as it traded near a three-week low. Crude for October delivery rose as much as 0.5 percent and declined as much as 0.7 percent in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange. It was at $85.68 a barrel, down 2 cents, at 10:01 a.m. Singapore time and slid 2.6 percent yesterday to the lowest settlement since Aug. 26.
The October contract will expire today. The more actively traded November future climbed 25 cents, or 0.3 percent, to $86.06 a barrel.
Brent crude for November settlement rose 48 cents, or 0.4 percent, to $109.62 a barrel on the London-based ICE Futures
Europe Exchange.
