WSJ:Key US Dollar, Sterling Libor Rise; Euro Rate Unchanged
 
LONDON (Dow Jones)--The cost of borrowing dollars and sterling for three months in the London interbank market rose Tuesday, while the euro rate was unchanged.

Data from the British Bankers' Association showed the three-month dollar London Interbank Offered Rate, also known as Libor, rose to 0.36522% from 0.36278%.

The spread between the three-month dollar Libor and the three-month overnight index swap rate--a barometer of banks' willingness to lend--widened to 27.8 basis points from 27.6 basis points Friday.

Credit Agricole SA and Credit Suisse Group contributed the highest rates of 0.42750% and 0.41500%, respectively.

The euro rate was unchanged at 1.48625% from Monday, while the three-month sterling rate rose to 0.94125% from 0.93625%.
