The price of oil on world commodity exchanges was falling Wednesday morning as investors worried that European authorities might not be able to overcome their debt crisis.
The price of a November futures contract for WTI light sweet crude in electronic trading on Nymex was down $1.40 to $83.05 a barrel by 6:30 Moscow time. The price of a November futures contract for North Sea Brent blend was off 85 cents to $106.29 in London.
The day before, November WTI contracts grew $4.21 to $84.45 a barrel, while November Brent contracts were up $3.19 cents to $107.13.
