BLBG:Crude Oil Climbs in New York Ahead of German Vote on European Bailout Fund
Oil climbed in New York ahead of a German vote on boosting a European bailout fund. Crude for November delivery gained as much as 54 cents, or 0.7 percent, to $81.75 a barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange and was at $81.52 at 2:12 p.m. Singapore time. The contract earlier slid as much as 1.9 percent.
Brent crude for November rose 33 cents, or 0.3 percent, to $104.14 a barrel on the London-based ICE Futures Europe exchange.
