KN:OPEC crude down USD 0.19, settling at USD 104.34 per barrel
VIENNE, Sept 29 (KUNA) - The price of the basket of 12-crudes of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) was down USD 0.19 on Wednesday, settling at USD 104.34 per barrel, compared to USD 104.53 per barrel last Tuesday.
OPEC's Friday bulletin said the basket average price for the year came to USD 77.45 per barrel.
Kuwaiti crude is one of the 12 crudes produced by OPEC members, along with Saharan Blend (Algeria), Girassol (Angola), Oriente (Ecuador), Iran Heavy (Islamic Republic of Iran), Basra Light (Iraq), Es Sider (Libya), Bonny Light (Nigeria), Qatar Marine (Qatar), Arab Light (Saudi Arabia), Murban (UAE), and Merey (Venezuela).
The oil ministers of OPEC member countries agreed -- following their latest ministerial meeting on June 8 -- to keep the current production ceiling at 24.
