MW:Crude oil futures regain footing

By Steve Gelsi

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Crude oil futures rose 0.4% on Thursday after dropping 4% in the previous session. West Texas Intermediate crude for November delivery CL1X +0.49% rose 25 cents to $81.46 a barrel in electronic trades. Brent crude futures rose 0.7% to $104.55. Morgan Stanely on Thursday cut its 2012 price target on Brent crude to $100 a barrel from $130 a barrel on expectation for more supply from Libya and the North Sea as well as weaker demand. Analysts expect an additional 800,000 barrels of oil a day to come online globally by the end of the year, with about half of that coming from Libya.
