RTRS:Taiwan cenbank: will act to smooth currency volatility
Oct 3 (Reuters) - Taiwan's central bank will be closely watching movements in the Taiwan dollar and will act to smooth out any big volatility, but sees the currency as currently stable, according to a report to parliament seen on Monday.
The report, which Governor Perng Fai-nan will deliver to parliament on Wednesday, also noted that the stability in the Taiwan dollar is helping to reduce foreign exchange risk for the island's exporters and can stimulate trade. (Reporting by Jeanny Kao)
