RTTN: Dollar Steady Ahead Of U.S. Construction Spending, ISM Manufacturing Data
(RTTNews) - The Institute for Supply Management's factory index for September is due at 10:00 am ET. Figures on construction spending for August from the Commerce Department are also due at about the same time.
Economists expect the ISM survey to remain unchanged at 50.6, while construction spending is seen down 0.3 percent, compared with a 1.3 percent drop in July.
The US dollar held steady against its major rivals ahead of the data. As of 9:55 am ET, the greenback was trading at 76.77 against the yen, 1.5507 versus the pound, 0.9107 against the Swiss franc and 1.3324 against the euro.
